Agricultural Property in Wakefield

Woodhead Investments own several parcels of land and tenanted farms throughout Wakefield and the surrounding Yorkshire region. Much of this has been bought with an element of “hope value” and is part of a long term growth and diversification strategy.

Whilst agricultural property offers some fairly modest income returns, there has been considerable capital growth over the last 10 years fuelled by competition from private individuals bidding against the traditional farmers and developers alike. Healthy Government subsidies and advantageous inheritance tax benefits have continued to fuel their popularity.

Our tenanted farms consist of a variety of land types suitable for different farming purposes, including arable, livestock and dairy farming. We continue to seek agricultural property and land across Yorkshire, with or without planning permission, for long term holding.
