Christmas is very nearly upon us and we’re excited. As is the New Year, and we can’t wait for what 2019 brings for us.

As we look back on 2018 with fond memories, we’ve picked out just a few of the many highlights of the year to share again with you all:

Wakefield Beer Festival:

In June, we had the chance to channel our taste buds into some of the country’s finest brewed beverages. Wakefield Beer Festival took place between the 28th and 30th of June, and we were proud to be one of the sponsors. The festival featured music from live bands, and guests had the opportunity to taste a wide array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including:

    • Cask and craft keg beers
    • Fruit beers
    • Bottled beers and ciders
    • Imported lagers
    • Wine and Prosecco

Residential Development Award 2018:

The Annual Design Awards are hosted by Wakefield Civic Society every year, with awards being presented to businesses for the following:

      • Best new development (building or environmental)
      • Best refurbishment (building or environmental)
      • Best shop front
      • Best public house, café bar or restaurant frontage
      • Best new residential development (6 or more apartments or houses)

We were delighted to win the award for Best New Residential Development 2018!

Part of what has allowed us to win awards such as this is not only our dedication to residential properties in Wakefield, but our commitment to working with businesses to provide commercial properties too. This was the case with lettings we completed in Autumn, for Bridal Reloved, and Corarima.

Bridal Chain Ties Knot with Property on Wood Street

Bridal Reloved are a franchise supplying wedding dresses from a wide range of designers. Their Wakefield branch recently opened in September, and Woodhead Investments were proud to be a part of their launch.

Ethiopian Style Restaurant Comes to Wakefield

Opening in October, Corarima brought an exciting new style and cuisine to Wakefield city centre with an authentic menu featuring a variety of vegetarian dishes.

It has been great to see Wakefield grow throughout 2018 and we look forward to seeing how it expands in 2019.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone we have worked with this year and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
